A Mystery and Abundant Blessings

A Mystery and Abundant Blessings

The Mystery

About a month ago I was returning to our home. A car pulled up as I was arriving and a man got out and asked if this was the home of Natalie Goff. I confirmed that it was and that I was her husband.

He told me that a person from Granada had asked him to deliver to us $500 cash, which he then handed to me. He told me a name, that I did not recognize, nor did I really catch due to his pronunciation

I was very surprised as you might imagine. We get money; however, we had never received financial support from someone here in Nicaragua apart from a couple of friends who gave it to us directly.

I gave him our card and asked him if he could and would email me when he returned to Granada. He said he could and that he would.

We never heard back from him. I went through our contacts that would be in Granada and did not find anyone that matched the name that I thought he had given me.

My memory is poor these days and that name has slipped my mind. But, as I said, neither Natalie nor I could find anyone we knew with a name even close to the name I thought he had given me.

Over the next month, our ministry money was short about $500 and that money met the additional needs.  All of them!

Praise God! But, the mystery still remains.

Abundant Blessings

Recently we sent out an email asking for funds to help bless people here in the area for Christmas.  The money started coming in.  Every item on the list was provided for and in some cases above and beyond.

It has been so exciting and has brought tears to my eyes to see how people have given freely for the sake of others.

We now get to be the hands that deliver these love gifts.  We know this will be a great blessing to these people and a true testimony as to the blessing of God and giving hearts of those who gave.

I wish I could fully impart to you, in a place of such poverty, just how significant these gifts are.

I hope this blog will encourage you, brings you joy, and give you cause to greatly praise our Lord and Savior for His provisions and those who have given of what they have received.

I truly hope, even in this time of difficulty, that you all have a blessed Christmas and a time of celebrating His birth and remembering the gift that He was as the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.

For His glory,
